Cornel Joubert Dietician - Herb Awareness

Cornel Joubert qualified as a dietitian at the North-West University in 1997 and obtained a master’s degree in 2005. She worked in the public sector for 10 years.

Registered Dietitian

She is registered with the HPCSA (Health Professional Council of South Africa – Pr.No. 8410550) and is also a member of ADSA (Association for Dietetics in South Africa).

Accredited at CDE

She is accredited at CDE (Centre for Diabetes and Endocrinology) as both a service provider and educator.

Part-time Lecturer

Cornel Joubert is also a part-time lecturer at Potchefstroom Academy, lecturing Nutrition as a subject.

Initial Consultation

  • A detailed medical and diet history.
  • Physical measurements, including weight, height, waist circumference.
  • Set individualized dietary goals.
  • Appropriate dietary education.
  • You will receive a verbal plan and an in-depth discussion and explanation regarding your lifestyle plan.
  • You will be provided with a personalised eating plan which will be given to you within 2 days after the initial consultation.

Second Consultation

MSR Rates

/30 min

  • This is a 30 minute consultation and will be scheduled within two days after the initial consultation.

  • You will be provided with your own personalised eating plan.


Follow-Up Consultations

These are 30 minute consultations and are encouraged to keep you motivated and to achieve goals set during the first consultation. Follow-up sessions will be determined by your diagnosis and goals set.

During these visits you can expect the following:

  • Repeat physical measurements.
  • Continuous nutritional support and education.

Several topics are covered; e.g. reading and interpreting of food labels, fast food and restaurant meals, importance of including healthy fats as part of a healthy diet etc.
